Program of our motorcycle drivability course
The program of our motorcycle drivability course gives the main lines of training. Each of the work points can be broken down into other sub-points according to the progress needs of the trainees. Thus, the pace adapts to each during the course, hence the limitation of the number of trainees to 4, in order to be able to adapt the progression to each.
The number of training days a trainee gives himself allows him to go further into the programme.
Motorcycle drivability course
1st part
- Theoretical presentation of the geometric elements related to the balance of the motorcycle
- Putting into practice
- Theoretical presentation of the physical elements related to both balance and handling
- Work on the body position to manage the inclination of the bike at different paces
- Work on the body position to benefit from geometric effects that ensure balance and grip
- Work on the body position to benefit from physical effects that ensure balance and grip
- Setting up the half turn level 1
Motorcycle drivability course
2nd part
- Work on the dosage of low-speed acceleration to avoid jerks
- Work on body position and acceleration in turns to control the trajectory, reducing stress on tires (increased grip)
- Work on rear brake metering (progressive and degressive)
- Work on body position and rear braking in turns to reduce its trajectory, reducing the stress on the tires (increased grip), while increasing balance
- Work on the “accelerator/brake rear” tandem
- Work on body position, and the “accelerator/rear brake” tandem to control the steering bar position
- Setting up the level 2 half turn
Motorcycle drivability course
3rd part
- Work on the front brake metering (progressive and degressive)
- Work on the front brake/accelerator tandem
- Work on body position and the front brake/accelerator tandem, before and during the turn, to optimize the angle, reducing stress on the tires (increased grip)
- Work on the body position and timing of front and rear braking, before and during the turn, to optimize the angle and radius reduction, reducing stress on the tires (increased grip), while increasing balance
- Setting up the level 3 half-turn
- Work on body position and timing of front and rear braking, during cornering, to be able to manage the presence of obstacles in turns, reducing stress on tires (increased grip), while increasing balance
